Mission

Little Flower Catholic Church and School“The mission of Little Flower Catholic School is to teach the message of Jesus within a Catholic Christian community. The school faculty, in cooperation with parents, provides opportunities for children to grow spiritually, morally, socially, physically, and intellectually. We help students realize and use their gifts and talents in order to be productive members of society in the 21st century, and to make the world a better place in which to live.”

Established in 1926, Little Flower School is a faith-based academic community that builds love for learning, self, and God. Our vision is to be the region’s premier community of teachers and parents, united by love and dedication to the moral development of inquisitive children. Our primary educational goal is to prepare each child for outstanding achievement in secondary school. We are committed to developing the talents of all children with innovative, personalized instructional methods that build knowledge, confidence, and teamwork. We focus on excellence in the fundamentals – math, writing and reading – upon which critical analysis and creative thinking are built over time. Students are challenged with assignments and courses tailored to their capabilities. We maintain a peaceful learning environment in which the distractions of technology are minimized and health-promoting decisions abound. We accept the responsibility that our school provides each child with a foundation for life-long learning, service to others, and appreciation for the love of Jesus.

We welcome new families who want to build upon a legacy of love as the context in which children grow and reach their potential – academically and beyond.

Little Flower is small enough to offer student/teacher ratios of 16 to 1 or better and large enough to offer a variety of opportunities for learning both inside the classroom and in the community. Students at Little Flower routinely perform above the national and St. Louis averages on ITBS scores.
