Protecting God’s Children / Safe Environment Program

The purpose of the SEP/PGC is to create and maintain a safe environment for all of God’s children. All employees, adult and youth volunteers, and religious who work with or near children must be compliant with the guidelines set forth by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops.

Compliance for adults (18 and over) includes:

1. Attending a PGC workshop
2. Completing a Missouri background check (Family Care Safety Registry Worker Registration Form); requires a one time payment of $13.25 to Little Flower
3. Reading and signing a Code of Ethical Conduct document

Additional background checks (American Checked) will be required if you have resided outside of the state within the past 5 years or if you currently reside in Illinois or another state.

Compliance for youth volunteers (under the age of 18) includes:

Reading and signing (with a parent) a Code of Ethical Conduct for Minors

Little Flower must maintain copies of background checks and Codes of Ethical conduct on file for all volunteers and employees, so please return completed documents to Little Flower with appropriate fees.
